Generosity Changes People

[Revival | Revolution | Reformation]Our mission is to establish an atmosphere where God can live and lead. We exist to provoke and realize a spiritual and structural reformation in the “Church” by empowering and releasing a love-sick breed of saints who will unleash Glory upon the whole earth

Historical Overview

The story of our congregation begins in 2002 in W. Tampa at the home of our pastor’s. After outgrowing the home and after the merge of three separate congregations; our destiny has led us to Brandon, FL. as Legacy Church.

The first merge was with a strong mission’s based congregation named, Global Infusion Worship Center. When their pastor’s were called into full time mission’s work in 2006, they asked us to receive their flock and we graciously obliged.

In 2005, three young men who had been touched by the power of God at the Pensacola Outpouring birthed a unique team-led congregation. At its first service, the Rev. John Kilpatrick spoke prophetically over the destiny of Covenant Community Fellowship and the fires of revival began to burn.

The Sanctuary Ministries, the church our pastor's planted in their home, began with a similar passion. Dr. Mark Hanby’s influence in the lives of a husband and wife team birthed a worshipful and passionate apostolic, yet organic congregation. As the church grew, so did her influence.

The now, joined-congregations began meeting at the OneThing Prayer Campus in early 2008. It was at this time when God began to reveal his purposes in a significant manner. The ramifications of these transitions has positioned Legacy to be an influence over our region and nations abroad.

Our heart’s desire is to see a city-wide congregation who lives being more interested in people and Kingdom agendas, rather than brick, mortar and religious programming. God is building his kingdom into the heart of our community and we are to be a launching pad for people and their assignments.

Our prayer is that the tapestry of God's dream in all of us would be unveiled and people's hopes as well as their dreams would be restored.
