Historical Overview
The story of our congregation begins in 2002 in our pastor’s home as The Sanctuary Ministries. Dr. Mark Hanby’s influence in the life of John & Marilyn Garcia birthed a worshipful, passionate, and apostolic congregation with a strong relational emphasis. After outgrowing the home, and after the merge of three separate congregations, Jesus continues to build a powerful church family called, Legacy Church.
The result of these transitions has positioned Legacy Church to be an influence for revival in our region and abroad. We desire to see a city-wide congregation that exists to manifest the love and power of God as we rebuild waste places and a city of peace to dwell in. Toward this end, God is infusing his dream into the heart of our Legacy family. We count it a joy to see our city thriving with Kingdom life.
We pursue the unveiling of God's desire for all of us till people's hopes and dreams are recognized, restored and released; till we become the launching pad for them and their assignments.
Lastly, we’re honored to have the spiritual covering of International Support Ministries, Dr. Stephen List. Legacy Church is also a member of the Global Legacy Fellowship, which is an emerging wineskin founded by Bethel Church of Redding California, Pastor Bill Johnson.
